Missouri

Traveling from Montana to where it joins the Mississippi near St. Louis, the Missouri is the longest river in the US. The Missouri defined the American frontier in the 19th century and its name now defines my new line of dreadnought guitars. Big, bold, beautiful instruments that redefine the powerful sound of this genre of guitars with amazing tonal balance and rapid response to all playing styles unlike anything you’ve played before.

The first time I listened to Doc Watson, the seminal flatpicker, I thought “great attack but smoother tone than most other players.” What was the secret? Doc was playing a mahogany backed guitar and extracted every bit of tone from the wonderful warmth of this wood. Long appreciated for its warmth for fingerstyle playing, it has a round presence for flatpicking styles that is unequaled. The Levinson voiced table brings the true tone of sapele mahogany to the forefront.
